Return/Exchange Policy - We generally do not accept returned goods for refund, but we do exchange. Providing there is a genuine reason and provided you notify us and return the opal within 7 days of receipt of the item. Aussie Treasure Chest also reserves the right to accept returned goods for either refund or exchange at their discretion. Also shipping and insurance charges are non refundable. Please note that all cost and risks associated with the returned article is carried by the Customer. This includes, but is not limited to freight, insurance, import duties, customs handling, loss and damage. Aussie Treasure Chest reserves the right to charge a re-stocking fee of no less that US$60 and not greater than 20% of the purchase price of any returned goods.Please note there is no return or exchange on custom made jewellery, Stock jewellery that has been altered or opals that have been re-cut to customers specifications.
Security policy - Internet Payment Transactions are conducted via digitally signed, Secure SSL Servers. Your credit card details are kept highly secure and are not transmitted via email. The pages which collects your credit card details are high-grade encrypted before being sent over the Internet. This encryption makes it extremely difficult for unauthorized people to view information traveling between computers.
Opal Quality & Pricing - All prices are wholesale based
All opals we sell are natural SOLID opals, unless otherwise stated, and have not been treated or enhanced in any way.
GST & Prices - Prices of goods shown on our website are exclusive of GST (
Australia's Goods & Services Tax). If you are an overseas customer, you do not need to pay this tax. Exported goods are tax-free and not subject to
Australia's GST. Aussie Treasure Chest passes this benefit onto our international customers and Internet purchases are accordingly tax-free. Customers who reside in
Australia however will be charged this tax at the rate of ten per cent and the tax will be added to your order.
Currency Rates - All prices throughout the Aussie Treasure Chest site are in US dollars. Orders are processed via PayPal and paymate are in $US dollars. For Australian residents please contact us for other payment arrangements. For an accurate estimation of our prices in YOUR currency, please use our pop-up currency converter or visit www.xe.com. Credit card payments made via Wespac's "Web Advantage" online real-time payment system are converted into and processed in AU$. For a further explanation of this please go to our "payments" page.
Privacy Policy - We do not pass on any of your contact details to any third party whatsoever. Your personal details are kept highly confidential.
Taxes - In our experience, it is rare for import taxes to be imposed by your home country. However, it is still possible that customers may be liable to pay import taxes imposed by their government upon arrival of their goods. This differs from country to country and Aussie Treasure Chest has no control over which taxes may be charged. In the case of a refund, the customer must bear all costs associated with import taxes as it is not possible for Aussie Treasure Chest to refund this amount or other amounts associated with importing goods. Order Processing & Conversion Rates - Internet transactions are conducted in Australian Dollars ($AUD). Conversions into the customer's own currency are conducted by the financial institution of the customer and final prices in the customer's currency will vary according to the exchange rate on the day.
Currency Converter - Aussie Treasure Chest provides a link to a currency conversion facility so that users may obtain an estimate of prices in other currencies; however we are not liable or responsible in any way for costs, errors, losses or incorrect currency information displayed by this third party website.
