This SOLID SEMI BLACK Opal is from the Lightning Ridge mining fields in Australia.

The fire in this opal shows bright, rich colours, ranging from neon orange and neon green to a touch of yellow all playing in rolling flashes over a background of soft blue mauve. The play of colour moves in large rolling flashes across the opal as it is turned, sparkling very brightly over the opal. This ever-changing display of colour makes for an interesting and lively opal.
