This SOLID SEMI BLACK Opal is from the Lightning Ridge mining fields in Australia.

The fire in this opal is mainly a bright, deep red surrounded by blue and purple with a touch of green and orange. On turning, the colours move brightly in rolling flashes. This breathtaking opal shows gorgeous and vivid colour, even in low to moderate lighting.
