This SOLID SEMI BLACK Opal is from the Lightning Ridge mining fields in Australia.

Bright red, golden orange, green and blue constantly flicker across the opal moving over a background of beautiful mauve purple in a very rare Jigsaw pattern. The colour patches are shaped like jig-saw pieces. Each interlocking with each other. They have bright, strong colours moving in rolling flashes through each colour patch. The fire is flickering, jumping all over the opal as you rotate the opal. Great in all lights, in low light, the colours appear crisper than under a direct light.
