This SOLID SEMI BLACK Opal is from the Lightning Ridge mining fields in Australia.

A beautiful gemmy coloured fire showing in an Asteria Harlequin pattern.....

Asteria Harlequins are very rare and this opal shows a perfect pattern with each Flagstone exploding from a central area of the opal. So many beautiful shades from gemmy red to orange, yellow to green to blue. All colour are bright and strong, moving in rolling flashes across each section of the Asteria Harlequin pattern. A dazzling play-of-colour at every angle and great in all lights.
