This SOLID BLACK Opal is from the Lightning Ridge mining fields in Australia.

This opal is very lively, flaming with very bright and very rich colours, across the complete face. Bright cherry red is the main colour in this opal, surrounded by a touch of orange red, bright green and purple. All are vibrant and swap and change with the slightest movement. The red colours cover the majority of the face, stealing this magnificent show.
